The high-level conference „Charge for Change: Innovative Technologies for Energy-Intensive Industries" was dedicated to the role of innovation as a key factor for the creation of an Energy Union. European and national political representatives and stakeholders discussed the possibilities of green hydrogen and its storage. The contribution of energy-intensive industries to the energy transition was also highlighted. The conference took place in the run-up to the informal meeting of energy ministers, which was held in Linz on 17 and 18 September 2018.

At the informal meeting of EU energy ministers on 18 September 2018, one of the topics on the agenda was the use of hydrogen as a future-oriented form of energy.
